Hive Workshops

In 2013, a vacant lot on Front Street in Staten Island was reimagined into a public space named Maker Park. Created by the Founders of MakerSpace NYC, DB Lampman and Scott Van Campen, Maker Park was once filled with multiple abandoned vehicles, trash, and debris. With the help of many community partners, Maker Park is now the home of public events, art instillations, and Bee University NYC’s bee hives.

In collaboration with MakerSpace NYC, Bee University NYC hosts three beehives in at our flagship location in Maker Park, Staten Island. Each one of our hives contain more than 15,000 bees. With our three beehives, 50,000 bees call Maker Park home!
